'Oh Shit!' is usually the moment when your plan parts ways with reality!

It is written in a style similar to a collection of short stories. Each story being a memory of an event that happened. Although in chronological order, there are gaps in the sequences, leaving days, months or years between them.
Don was a pioneer of the 1% motorcycle culture in Canada. His passion for riding brought him into a club called 'Satan's Choice' where he escalated to president. His tales of growing up in East End Toronto and the association with the clubs of the era brought back some memories of mine of times spent in the areas that they frequented.
The rise & fall of the original club, which led to it's resurrection as an amalgamation of several clubs under a new leader, is told rather well. I would have like to have more in depth history of this period, but Don has not provided it.
The first half of the book covers his outlaw days, while the second half of the book goes into tales of his transformation into a more settled married life away from the hassles of the 1%ers.
While still having a passion for riding, Don buys a Goldwing with trailer, then proceeds to have many adventurous trips through the US.
He still uses the short story theme, but timelines seem closer together.
I enjoyed the book, and anyone who has an interest in the early days of Canadian Outlaw bikers or the joys of traveling the country on a motorcycle will also find this book quite a good read.
It is available at bookstores or from the author himself.
Hang in there..... J D Redneck
